30 participants have been equipped with enhanced leadership and professional development skills following a two-day Leadership Growth training programme held by the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) in Region Four.
The training, held on June 11 and 12, was facilitated by Deborah King of Harobed Training and formed part of the GTA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen human resource capacity within the tourism sector.
Participants engaged in sessions designed to enhance leadership competencies, effective communication, decision-making, teamwork and personal development, all of which are essential to fostering stronger workplace relationships and improving organisational performance.
By investing in the development of its workforce, the GTA is helping to empower young professionals capable of leading with confidence, resolving challenges effectively and contributing to the delivery of higher standards of service across the tourism industry.
These improved skills are expected to translate into better visitor experiences, stronger team dynamics and greater operational efficiency, factors that are increasingly important as Guyana’s tourism sector continues to expand.
