The minister toured the GPF Academy, the Criminal Record Office and the Police Credit Union, where she observed ranks and administrative staff at work and reviewed existing administrative processes.

She also spoke with personnel about their duties, the operational challenges they face, and changes that could improve efficiency and service delivery.
Minister Walrond was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Errol Watts; Director of the GPF Academy, Senior Superintendent Sonia Herbert; Commandant of the GPF Academy, Georgetown, Superintendent Halley Smith; and other officials.

The visits are part of the ministry’s efforts to maintain direct engagement with ranks and assess the performance of key GPF departments, with a focus on efficiency, accountability and better service to citizens.
