My (late) eldest brother helped build the Ogle Mandir, where I attended during my teenage years. Later, my younger brother and youngest sister helped build the temple in our birth village, Cumming’s Lodge, which was within walking distance from our home.
This tribute honours the late Mr Hiralall Samaroo, the eldest brother of Dr Komal Samaroo, Chairman of Demerara Bank and Demerara Distillers Limited.
