Dr Gajadhar’s professional journey began in education, where he served as a dedicated teacher from 1981 to 1982, instilling values and knowledge in young minds. He then transitioned into government service, rising to Assistant Director of Customs at the Excise Department from 1983 to 1993, bringing administrative excellence to crucial government operations.
As Director of Operations at American Trans Air & GA 2000 from 1996 to 2002, Dr Gajadhar demonstrated exceptional leadership in the highly specialised aviation sector. However, his most enduring legacy in Guyana’s aviation industry came through his visionary entrepreneurship. After Guyana Airways collapsed in 2000, Dr Gajadhar founded Timehri Handling Services Inc., transforming it from a modest operation of 12 employees serving one airline into a powerhouse with over 300 employees serving 13 international airlines. Today, it stands as Guyana’s leading ground handling company—a testament to his entrepreneurial vision and business acumen.
Since 1994, Dr Gajadhar has served as Managing Director of Rudisa Motor Company (Guyana) Inc. and the Rudisa Group of Companies, building and sustaining a diversified business empire spanning automotive services, distribution, real estate, and property development.
