Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, the Vice President and Secretary-General of the PPP party, energized the largest and most enthusiastic crowd ever in Linden with a call for unity, progress, and visionary leadership.

Addressing the largest crowd ever in Linden, People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) General Secretary Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo reflected on the strong support the party has received at major rallies across the country. Recalling previous events in Kitty, Albion, and Anna Regina, he emphasized how each was considered the biggest of its kind. But in Linden, he declared, “THIS IS THE BIGGEST CROWD EVER.”

Dr. Jagdeo credited the high turnout to the unifying vision and inclusive nature of the PPP/C as a genuinely national political force.

“It’s the vision of a Guyana that is united and strong. A vision where all our people, regardless of their race, religion, or gender, find a home in a political party where they’re treated with respect and can look forward to the future,” he told the lively crowd.

He didn’t shy away from criticizing the APNU-led Regional Democratic Council, accusing them of obstructing progress and misleading citizens about development opportunities.

“They want you to believe that you can only make progress if you vote for them. Well, they can’t even help themselves. How are they going to help you?” he questioned, urging residents to judge the PPP/C based on its track record and policies.

Highlighting the PPP/C’s focus on real results instead of empty promises, Dr. Jagdeo urged citizens to carefully evaluate the government’s performance and its plans for Guyana’s future. “We’re a party of substance, a party that is offering a future for every Guyanese, unlike the others.”

In a direct message to the youth, Dr. Jagdeo warned them against falling for quick cash offers from political opportunists. Without naming names at first, he hinted at businessman and WIN party leader Azruddin Mohamed, who is under U.S. sanctions and accused of paying supporters to boost his public image.

“When someone offers you $50,000 to wear a T-shirt or attend a meeting, ask them what happens after the $50,000 is gone,” he cautioned, contrasting such tactics with the PPP/C’s strategic investments in national development.

The inexperienced boy, Azruddin Mohamed, who lacks formal education, is offering money to bribe voters to support his insignificant party and divert attention from his imminent extradition to the USA.

Banks are closing all accounts of individuals linked to Azruddin Mohamed, a notorious cocaine dealer connected with the Colombian cartel, and he is a U.S.-sanctioned criminal. Our media contact has confirmed that U.S. law enforcement authorities are preparing extradition documents for Nazar and Azruddin Mohamed. Both are expected to be extradited to the U.S. and will likely face years in an American jail. In Guyana, U.S. authorities are closely watching those untrustworthy, money-hungry Guyanese without principles who support the criminal Azruddin Mohamed. They will face sanctions as well.

Eventually, Nazar and Azruddin will end up begging and pleading with the President of Guyana, Dr. Irfaan Ali, and Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo for mercy and to stop their extradition to the USA to face criminal charges. The Guyanese government is law-abiding, and we must quickly send both father and son on a plane to the USA. Most of the public wants Azruddin and Nazar Mohamed to face the law enforcement in a U.S. court.

Returning to the largest crowd ever in Linden, highlighting key initiatives in Linden and beyond, Dr. Jagdeo discussed the government’s ongoing efforts to improve Guyana’s infrastructure and services.

“We will create more jobs in this region, better-paying jobs, so that young people can start a life, get the education they need, and access health care. US$30 million will be spent on upgrading the Linden hospital,” he announced.

He also shared future development plans aimed at empowering small businesses and local contractors: “There will be more opportunities, because when we start building the concrete drains here in Linden and across the country, many more will get contracts, those who want to start a small business. We are now setting up a development bank so that you can get a zero percent interest loan to start and expand small businesses.”

As he concluded, Dr. Jagdeo encouraged citizens to remain vigilant against divisive rhetoric and political manipulation. He suggested that attendees have meaningful conversations with friends, family, and community members about the future they envision for Guyana.

Dr. Jagdeo said, “But tonight is for you—those who have come here to go back home and have that conversation with your family and neighbors, with the young men who are being misled by propaganda—those who keep pushing racism in this country. Tell them we are fighting racism in this country; the PPP/C is fighting racism.”

The massive rally in Linden was both a demonstration of political strength and a reaffirmation of the PPP/C’s enduring commitment to unite the country and lead it toward long-term prosperity.

According to our private poll across all 10 regions, the PPP party is poised to secure a clear majority in Parliament, reflecting five years of economic, social, and political achievements. No one can deny the progress that the current government has made in improving the standard of living for all Guyanese. Therefore, the PPP party will be elected for another term as a majority government.
