Hamilton Green is a former secretary general of the PNC Party. He is 89 years old and still preaching that the PNC Party must follow Forbes Burnham’s legacy of rigging all elections.
During an event commemorating Linden Forbes Burnham, the former PNC Leader and President of Guyana, known for his dictatorship-style leadership and electoral manipulation and rigging of elections since 1966.
Before going any further, it is essential to mention that there is a worldwide understanding that Linden Forbes Burnham taught his close friend Robert Mugabe how to rig elections in Zimbabwe. His tutor, Linden Forbes Burnham, made Robert Mugabe an expert in rigging elections in Zimbabwe, and Mugabe followed his mentor.
This is the only legacy (Rigging of elections) that Burnham left to the people of Guyana and the world. What a legacy!
Robbing the voters of Guyana of their democratic rights has become his legacy in all history books worldwide.
Hamilton Green, speaking at the LFS Burnham Foundation Annual Commemorative Symposium 2024, suggested that Burnham’s legacy, including his electoral tactics of manipulation and rigging elections, should be celebrated and utilised to combat what he described as detrimental elements in government.
Hamilton Green elucidates that.
“…It was Burnham’s wisdom that got him into office in 1964. I was General Secretary at the critical time. And if, as I told one of the groups I met [Friday] morning, if they say he rigged elections, I say we should keep rigging to save us from these devils, these bastards, these demons that we have,” Green declared during the event that was live streamed on Facebook.
These devils, these bastards, these demons that the 89-year-old Geriatric Hamilton Green was referring to are Guyanese Indians- Hindus- Muslims- Christians, Amerindians, and other minorities who are not black Afro-Guyanese.
Hamilton Green needs to remember that Guyana is a multi-racial society, and the devils, the bastards, and the demons are the majority in Guyana now, not the black Afro-Guyanese.
Without the votes of the bastards, the devils, and the demons, Aubrey Norton will never get elected. This is a fact and a reality in Guyanese politics today.
The bastards, the devils, and the demons who are in the PNC party must choose if they want to support Hamilton Green and Aubrey Norton’s endorsement of an 89-year-old geriatric who is still stuck in 1960s politics of hatred and discrimination against the Indo-Guyanese, other non-black minorities and rigging elections.
The world knows that Forbes Burnham remained in power for many years by rigging all his elections. Hamilton Green only advocates what his Master, Burnham, did and taught this geriatric how to rig elections.
Furthermore, Green is now advocating that the present leaders of the PNC must use Burnham’s legacy, which is election manipulation and rigging, to oust the democratically elected People’s Progressive Party /Civic (PPP/C) government from office.
Aubrey Norton must educate this 89-year-old geriatric Hamilton Green that this is the 21st century, and the social media and digital platforms are watching all the shenanigans of the PNC party.
The voters are watching Aubrey Norton’s every move, which is being monitored by all social media platforms.
Hamilton Green lectures Aubrey Norton that manipulation and rigging elections are the only way for the PNC to gain power in Guyana.
Aubrey Norton should have distanced himself from this geriatric buffoon called Hamilton Green. Still, instead, he has endorsed his undemocratic approach and has exposed the PNC as a party that wins power by rigging elections.
The voters of Guyana are baffled that Aubrey Norton did not inform them publicly that the PNC would not indulge in vote rigging. Instead, Norton endorsed Hamilton Green and came up with a stupid excuse for why he called the Indians and other non-blacks bastards, demons, and devils.
Still, unfortunately, he missed a golden opportunity to convince the Guyanese public and the world that the PNC will not rig elections, will abide by the results, and will respect the voters’ choice in Guyana.
Aubrey Norton had a unique chance to establish that from now on, the PNC party will respect the voter’s choice. But alas, instead, Aubrey Norton has fallen on his own sword.
Who on earth advised Aubrey Norton?
Hamilton Green advocates that the PNC cannot win the next general election in 2025. So, he is telling the leadership of the PNC the way his master, Forbes Burnham, did it during his time in power, which was by rigging and manipulating all his election results.
The British Television documentary in the 1970s exposed Forbes Burnham as a master rigger of Elections. Dead voters in the UK were voting in Guyanese elections. What a shame!
According to Hamilton Green, the Guyanese voters’ democratic rights to choose must be ignored, and rigging the elections must be the only way to get rid of the PPP/C party by the PNC party.
Aubrey Norton upholds controversial remarks, as indicated by Hamilton Green, that PNC must rig the elections to gain power again.
Letting the cat out of the bag, Hamilton Green has confirmed that rigging elections is what the PNC has been doing since Burnham’s time, and his alleged advice to Aubrey Norton is to continue Burnham’s legacy of robbing the voters of Guyana of their democratic rights to choose.
Hamilton Green has categorically confirmed that the PNC has been rigging elections to remain in power. He warned against betraying the legacies of Burnham, which is rigging elections. He urged current political leaders to understand the language of power dynamics, which is manipulating and rigging elections to maintain their positions.
The history of electoral rigging under Burnham’s regime, from the 1960s to the 1980s, was noted, alongside more recent political turmoil, including delays in elections and allegations of fraud by the APNU/AFC coalition.
The recount revealed significant irregularities, leading to legal action against crucial figures involved in electoral fraud, such as former Returning Officer Clairmont Mingo and former Chief Elections Officer Keith Lowenfeld.
International observers, including the United States-based Carter Center, condemned the actions of the PNC-led regime, which eventually led to a national recount supervised by the Caribbean Community (Caricom) to ensure democratic integrity.
Furthermore, a phone call from the former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to former President David Granger was enough for Granger to vacate the Presidential residence immediately. What Pompeo said is a secret, but for Granger to run, it must have been an actual warning to him personally.
Since then, David Granger has disappeared from the political scene in Guyana. We wonder why?
Aubrey Norton must understand that the world knows that the PNC has been rigging elections since independence in 1966. The last time they tried to rig and were caught red-handed was three years ago. So, the PNC party is notorious as a party that does not believe in fair elections.
And now Aubrey Norton has endorsed Hamilton Green, which means that he agrees with the 89 years old buffoon Hamilton Green’s message of rigging the next general election in 2025.
Aubrey Norton had an opportunity to remove the rigging party label from the PNC party, but he failed miserably. His Party members must be wondering what sort of leader he is to miss such an opportunity to start a new chapter in the history of PNC. However, there is a saying, “A leopard never changes its spots.”
Aubrey Norton and his PNC party will be taught a good lesson by the Voters of Guyana in the 2025 general election. Hamilton Green has insulted the intelligence of the voters of Guyana, and Aubrey Norton has endorsed Hamilton’s undemocratic statement by advocating that rigging is the only way for PNC to gain power.
