President Dr. Irfaan Ali has clearly stated that the coming years of his leadership will be characterized by discipline, purpose, and a strong commitment to national development. As he has repeatedly emphasized, the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) Government has already set the goals to be achieved by 2030, and he aims to ensure that every objective is accomplished accurately. This is his second and final term, and the President has no intention of wasting time on ideas that do not promote Guyana’s long-term progress.

President Ali is widely recognized across the country as a determined leader—a man of integrity who values time, efficiency, and results. His approach to governance is rooted in clarity and action. When he presents a vision, he expects those responsible to execute it. He has made it clear that Guyana’s prosperity depends on purposeful decisions, not on “nonsense ideas” that hinder national progress. His message to his ministers is straightforward: there is no room for delays or poor judgment. Guyana is moving forward, and the government must keep pace with it.

At the heart of President Ali’s vision is improving the standard of living in Guyana. He believes that national progress starts with strong communities, safe environments, and opportunities for every citizen. Providing housing for those in need, addressing regional disparities, and ensuring equal access to essential services are not just policy goals; they are moral responsibilities. The President recognizes that a country’s success depends on its people not being left behind. That’s why he continues to back large-scale housing projects, community development efforts, and infrastructure improvements aimed at uplifting families across the nation.

Another key priority is the gas-to-power initiative, a transformative national project that will reshape Guyana’s energy future. President Ali has repeatedly emphasized that Guyana must address its energy challenge as quickly as possible because reliable and affordable power is the foundation of modern development.

Global investors consider several key factors when choosing locations for high-value industries, and President Ali has clearly outlined these. First, the country needs sufficient power capacity to support manufacturing, digital industries, and large-scale production. Second, transportation infrastructure—roads, bridges, eco-tourism sites, deep-water ports, and highways—must be modern, safe, and efficient. Guyana is rapidly upgrading its infrastructure to meet these international standards. Third, a skilled and ready workforce is essential. The President believes that Guyanese workers have natural talent and a strong work ethic, but they need to work in clean, organized, and well-functioning environments. That’s why the government’s national cleanup campaigns and urban renewal efforts are so important.

Communication systems must also meet international standards. President Ali envisions a Guyana that is digitally connected, fast, and reliable—a country where information flows quickly and where global businesses can operate with confidence. Upgrading communication networks isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity in the modern global economy.

The President is preparing for major developments across all sectors, in line with the commitments outlined in the 2025 Manifesto. The goal is simple: to turn Guyana into a modern nation by improving the living standards of all Guyanese, regardless of their ethnic background.

Dr. Irfaan Ali’s vision for a modern Georgetown is already beginning to take shape. Although the outdated PNC party mayor and councilors are determined to block the city’s progress, why? The answer is simple: these local councilors want to keep Georgetown stuck in the 1960s because it gives them an excuse to criticize the PPP party for not supporting development. They’re trying to use it as political leverage. However, they are now facing a President committed to modernizing Georgetown and making every Guyanese proud of their city. The President will not let Georgetown’s development be stopped. He is the leader who will not tolerate nonsense from the Mayor of Georgetown.

The President also highlighted the importance of a modern, digitally advanced banking system. To enable foreign investors to transfer money securely and efficiently, Guyana’s financial sector must remain effective and technologically robust. Digital banking, bank-to-bank services, improved financial regulations, and international transaction systems are crucial components of the President’s economic strategy.

One of the most admirable qualities of President Ali’s leadership is his intolerance for ideas that hinder progress. As he has stated, this is not a time for guesses, delays, or misalignment. He respects the people of Guyana too much to allow unnecessary barriers to slow the country’s growth. His firm stance guarantees that only serious, strategic, and well-crafted proposals in the Manifesto 2025 are included in the national agenda.

President Ali is a modern and progressive leader—someone who recognizes that Guyana is on the cusp of a major economic change.

Dr. Irfaan Ali recognizes that the years ahead will have a significant impact on the country’s future for many generations. With a clear vision, respect for its people, and a strong dedication to development, he continues to lead Guyana toward a future where prosperity is shared, opportunities are plentiful, and the nation proudly stands on the world stage.

The President is dedicated to working closely with his ministers to act swiftly and make progress for all Guyanese and the international business community. A key trait of the President is that he will not tolerate any nonsense or delays from his ministers.

Over the next five years in Guyana, one thing is certain: Under President Irfaan Ali’s leadership, progress will remain steady, potential will be unlocked, and the goal of a stronger Guyana will be achieved, fulfilling the promises made to the citizens of Guyana in the PPP’s 2025 Election Manifesto.
