The Netherlands continued their strong World Cup form with a convincing 3–1 victory over Tunisia in Kansas City, securing first place in Group F.
The Dutch took an early lead after just three minutes when Tunisia’s Ellyes Skhiri scored an unfortunate own goal under pressure. The Netherlands quickly doubled their advantage through Brian Brobbey, who finished clinically to continue his impressive tournament scoring run.
Tunisia showed resilience in the second half and managed to pull one goal back through Hazem Mastouri, who scored with a well-placed header. However, any hopes of a comeback were short-lived as Jan-Paul van Hecke restored the Netherlands’ two-goal cushion shortly after.
With this win, the Netherlands finished the group stage unbeaten and progressed comfortably to the Round of 32 as group winners, while Tunisia exited the tournament after a difficult campaign.
