Citizens are urged to mark their calendars for the highly anticipated GuyExpo 2026, set for November 12 to 15 at the National Exhibition Centre in Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Susan Rodrigues announced that some 317 of its 334 booths have already been allocated.
She added that this year’s exhibition will feature new products, international exhibitors and an expanded range of business offerings.
“You can expect the usual excitement and overwhelming participation from our business community, especially our small business owners and our investors and our value partners,” she said enthusiastically during a walkthrough of the venue on Monday.
President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali is expected to address the opening ceremony at 5 pm on Thursday.
Admission will be free that afternoon. Cultural performances and private-sector contributions are planned as part of the programme.
Minister Rodrigues said demand for exhibition space had been strong, with only 17 booths remaining about 10 days before the opening.
“We have a total of 13 new sponsors who have come on board this year,” she said.

The new sponsors will join returning companies, including Banks DIH, Demerara Distillers Limited, Sterling Products Limited and other established participants.
Exhibitors are expected to showcase products and services across several sectors, with some companies preparing to launch their new products, including electric vehicles and other technology.
Small businesses registered with the Small Business Bureau (SBB) will be accommodated alongside the ministry’s agencies, while an international pavilion will host overseas companies.

The tourism village will also return, offering live cooking, local cuisine, cultural performances and displays from tourism and hospitality businesses.
Additionally, schoolchildren will be admitted from 1 pm on Friday for guided tours of the exhibition.
Entertainment is planned for each evening, and a kids zone will be located near the front of the venue.
Activities on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are scheduled to continue until midnight.
Tickets are available at 25 locations countrywide to reduce long queues and ensure a smooth flow of traffic into the venue.
The list of vendors will be published on the ministry’s social media pages.
Additional scanners will be installed at the entrances to speed up admission, and parking will be available inside and outside the exhibition grounds, with the Guyana Police Force assisting with traffic management.
The four-day event will be held under the theme “Creating Tomorrow’s Opportunities through Today’s Investments.”
