The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security is taking its services to communities across Region Two, particularly the recently launched care initiative.
On June 12, Minister Persaud and her team will host information and registration sessions for persons interested in becoming a part of “Guyana’s growing care economy.”
Residents will be able to receive guidance on available opportunities and register their expressions of interest on site.
The engagements will be held at the Anna Regina Probation Office at 12:30 hrs and the Rehabilitation Centre on Masjid Street, Queenstown, at 15:30 hrs.
The outreach continues on Saturday, June 13, with a series of community meetings at Capoey Mission, Onderneeming Community Centre and Good Hope Primary School.
During these sessions, residents will have the opportunity to raise concerns affecting their communities and receive information on programmes and services available through the ministry.

Key discussions will focus on positive parenting and family support, child abuse prevention and reporting, and efforts to address and prevent teenage pregnancy.
The initiative forms part of the ministry’s ongoing commitment to strengthening families, empowering communities and ensuring social services reach citizens in every region of Guyana.
