Nitish Kumar was officially sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the tenth time in a grand oath-taking ceremony held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The event, attended by top national leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, marked a significant moment in Bihar’s political landscape. With this swearing-in, Nitish Kumar further cemented his position as one of the longest-serving chief ministers in the country. Alongside him, BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers, highlighting the strong partnership within the ruling NDA alliance that secured a decisive victory in the 2025 Bihar elections. The ceremony reflected both the stability of the coalition and the public mandate for continued governance under Nitish’s leadership. As the new government begins its term, attention now turns to the formation of the cabinet, distribution of portfolios, and the policy direction the administration will take to address Bihar’s development priorities and future challenges.
