Eight years ago, I made a conscious decision to step into the arena of political economy and public policy discourse—as an analyst. I understood the risks commonly associated with this sort of public engagement, especially during the election season. I accepted them. And I remain resolute in facing whatever consequences may come, fearlessly.
Four years ago, when I got married, I was transparent with my wife about the path I had chosen. I made sure she understood the weight of it—especially during election seasons. As a devoted partner, she embraced that reality. Today, she stands beside me, unwavering, refusing to be intimidated by political opponents or their operatives.
To those hiding behind fake accounts—specifically the individual (s) operating the “Exposed-GY” Facebook page on behalf of the WIN party—consider this your formal notice: your threats and attempts to intimidate me and my loved ones will not succeed. They will not silence me. They will not shake my resolve.
Let me be clear: the WIN party, through its trolls, has introduced a new low in Guyanese politics—targeting the mothers and wives of political opponents. This level of cowardice and moral bankruptcy is unprecedented, even by the standards of APNU and AFC. It has not gone unnoticed.
But let me also be clear and reinforce: I will not be deterred. I will not be intimidated. And I will not be discouraged from my work that I have been doing consistently for the past eight years.
PS: I’ve removed the despicable posts from under my page and blocked the account. I, however, have the screenshots saved for future reference, if necessary.
