Red Thread Politrix will Never End

Red Thread denies that it is in politics but as soon as any anti-PPP activity starts, we see them all
over the place. They are repeating Aubrey Norton’s mantra that people can’t eat roads. They want to
know what the budget has done for teachers. Well, if they did their homework, they would know that
between 2020 and 2024 salary for Teacher Trainees went up 734%; Untrained Graduate Teachers –
36%; and Graduate Trained teachers- 35%. The upward movement of salaries has been across the
board. Add to this subsidized house lots, low-cost mortgages, Young Professional Homes, the
modest ones for as little as $24,000 monthly mortgage. The new income tax threshold is now
    $100,000.
This same Red Thread had to admit that it went to join the so-called struggle but found out to their
dismay, the teachers who were supposed to be red-hot with industrial anger, were in fact sporting.
Only Red Thread, an overseas-led organization, can be taken aback by the reality on the ground. Red
Thread are filled operatives who are connected to the political opposition, one way or another.
It is time that Red Thread come straight with the people. In the current circumstances their support
for the strike has the effect of hurting school children. These middle-class types are probably
sending their kids to private schools or getting them private lessons. So, they don’t have to worry. It
is the working-class children who are being hurt by the ill-begotten strike.
