Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday showered praise on the BJP’s newly appointed state leadership, striking a light-hearted yet meaningful note when he referred to party leader Nitin Nabin as “my boss.” The remark, delivered with a smile during a public interaction, quickly caught attention for highlighting the Prime Minister’s emphasis on humility and collective leadership within the party.

Nitin Nabin, often described as a “millennial leader,” has recently taken on a key organisational role in the Bharatiya Janata Party, representing a generational shift in the party’s leadership structure. By publicly acknowledging Nabin in this manner, Modi underscored the BJP’s effort to empower younger leaders while maintaining continuity with its core ideology.

The Prime Minister praised Nabin’s organisational skills, grassroots connect, and ability to energise party workers, particularly among the youth. He noted that the BJP’s strength lies in its cadre-based structure, where responsibility and respect flow both ways, irrespective of age or seniority. Modi’s remark was seen as a symbolic gesture reinforcing that leadership in the party is about service and teamwork rather than hierarchy alone.

Party leaders and workers welcomed the Prime Minister’s comments, interpreting them as encouragement for emerging leaders to take ownership and lead from the front. Observers say such gestures help bridge generational gaps within the party and send a clear message that performance and commitment matter more than titles.

As the BJP continues to prepare for upcoming political challenges, the spotlight on leaders like Nitin Nabin reflects the party’s broader strategy of blending experience with youthful energy. Modi’s statement not only praised an individual leader but also reinforced the BJP’s narrative of inclusive leadership and organisational discipline.
