Guyanese interested in pursuing their postgraduate studies in technical fields are invited to submit their applications to the Ministry of Public Service, Government Efficiency and Implementation.

The governments of Guyana and the Republic of Azerbaijan are offering a limited number of scholarships under the Heydar Aliyev – International Education Grant Programme for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The scholarships are being offered at the master’s level and target key technology-driven fields.

According to an announcement from the ministry, eligible candidates can pursue studies in Computer Science (MSc), Data Analytics (MSc), and Mechatronics and Robotic Engineering (MEng).

The programme forms part of the education cooperation between Guyana and Azerbaijan. It is intended to support the development of highly skilled professionals in areas linked to technology and innovation to complement the government’s digitalisation drive.

Applicants must meet several eligibility requirements to be considered for the award.

Candidates must be holders of a valid Guyanese passport, must be under the age of 40 as of September 15, 2026, and must possess a relevant bachelor’s degree with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.

Authorities are encouraging qualified persons with an interest in advancing their studies in these fields to apply before the deadline. The closing date for the submission of applications is March 27, 2026.

Interested applicants are advised to ensure all required documents are submitted within the stipulated timeframe for consideration under the programme.
