A Word of Caution to Young Professionals

Since the submission and approval of the list of candidates for the upcoming elections, I’ve observed two young professionals risk their promising careers by aligning themselves with an OFAC-sanctioned individual. They’ve embraced a narrative that dangerously downplays the severity and consequences of those sanctions.
But let’s reflect—do you not see that the senior figures surrounding him have nothing to lose? They stand only to gain financially. This individual knew the sanctions were coming. That’s why he ramped up his charity efforts—to build social capital and shield himself. It was never about the people. It was always about self-preservation.
What happens to those who put their careers on the line when he is extradited (he knows this as well), which is inevitable. What becomes of your futures? Think, folks, think!
He’s not going down alone—he’s dragging everyone with him. And he knows it. This is someone willing to risk the future of an entire country for personal gain. What we’re witnessing is just a microcosmic play of the chaos that could potentially unfold in a macrocosmic play if he ascends to the National Assembly.
I urge you: use your gifted faculties. Think independently. Study the 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗔𝗰𝘁, the accompanying regulations, and the international treaties that underpin our financial regulatory framework. Read the 𝗙𝗔𝗧𝗙/𝗖𝗙𝗔𝗧𝗙 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟯–𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟰.
As I have pointed out before—if the government truly intended to victimize him, he would never have been able to contest an election. The government could have invoked the legal provisions under 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗜𝗩 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗠𝗟/𝗖𝗙𝗧 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 in the bank. Instead, he was allowed to close out his accounts and walk away with allegedly billions of dollars in tax-evaded funds from the State, in his possession.
Don’t be naive. Protect your careers. Safeguard your future. Exercise your intellectual independence of thought in your life’s choices and decision making through informed, critical analysis. Don’t just adopt this false narrative that you are fed about political victimization.
