Residents across Region Two are being encouraged to attend the upcoming presidential outreach, where President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali and members of the cabinet will outline new development initiatives and provide updates on projects transforming the region.

Minister of Public Service, Government Efficiency and Implementation Zulifkar Ally said the outreach, which is set for Friday and Saturday, will offer residents a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the president and government ministers.

He told the Department of Public Information (DPI) at his office on Tuesday, “I would like to tell the residents to come out, to meet with the president, to meet with his cabinet, to listen to all of the exciting things that the president has to say.”

He noted that the president’s vision extends to every citizen and every community across Guyana.

The minister said residents will also hear about ongoing investments that are positioning Region Two for sustained economic growth.

“They will hear about all of the plans the president has for housing in Essequibo, for the growth of business in Essequibo, for the growth of commerce and making it a tourism destination,” he told DPI.

Among the major highlights of the visit will be the commissioning of the new Anna Regina Stadium.

Minister Ally said the outreach reflects the government’s commitment to engaging citizens directly while ensuring communities remain informed about national development.

The outreach forms part of the government’s ongoing programme of community engagement and direct public interaction across Guyana, ensuring citizens remain at the centre of the country’s development agenda.
