The government’s initiative to establish digital recording studios across several regions is advancing steadily, with major construction works nearing completion in Regions Two, Three, Six and Ten.
According to the latest progress update provided to the National Assembly by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Charles Ramson Jnr on Friday last, construction of the digital recording studios in Regions Two and Three has reached 70 per cent completion, while works in Region Ten are 80 per cent complete.

In a written response to an opposition member of parliament, Minister Ramson noted that the recording studio being constructed in Region Six is 95 per cent completed and is expected to be fully operational in 2026.

The facilities are expected to provide young creatives, musicians and content producers with access to modern recording infrastructure, creating new opportunities for talent development and growth within Guyana’s creative industry.
The studios are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to expand access to cultural and creative resources across communities and support the local entertainment sector.
